Our Bank

Alekun Microfinance Bank Limited is a company registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission under The Company and Allied Matters Act 1990 and Banks and Other Financial Institution (BOFIA) Act 25 of 1991 with Head Office at 40, Oladipo Diya Road, Odogbolu, Ogun State. The Company was incorporated at the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Abuja on 23rd April 2009 after the grant of Provisional Approval) by the Central Bank of Nigeria on 24th November 2007 upon conversion from Community Banking.

We are committed to creating a business friendly Microfinance Bank in Nigeria that will re-define banking standards by providing excellent services to our customers, empowering the un-banked and the under-banked, and creating wealth to all stakeholders.

FINANCIAL STRENGTH

The Bank commenced operation in September 2008 with an initial authorized and fully paid up Capital of N25,000,000.00 (Twenty Five Million Naira only). Shareholders’ funds as at 2020 is in excess of N85,000,000 (Eighty Five Million Naira only).

The Bank is owned by reputable individual Nigerian professionals with strong financial and good moral standing. The Bank is committed to diversified ownership to ensure good Corporate Governance.

The bank’s strategic intent is to be ranked among the best five (5) Microfinance Banks in Nigeria within its 5 years of Conversion. The bank will leverage on expert banking experience and superior professional exposure to create value addition to customers’ businesses, and deliver same at highly competitive rates that will be very rewarding to all stakeholders.
